The "needs a rebuilt motor" part is what would worry me. Who knows what else you will need to throw into that car, and paying for something you can't even drive is going to get old quick. I think almost every one of us on this forum has first hand experience.
If it was me and I had to have a second car, I would wait until you have enough saved up to buy a car that actually runs reliably. You will love yourself a lot more for making that decision, trust me.
