A great idea on crowdsourcing the search for the Boston Marathon bomber.

I can see this becoming a large part of the future of crime investigation.

This was a good idea, but I'm not certain it really helped. I mean, /b was completely fixated on the dude with the white hat and the guy with the blue shirt...neither of which turned out to be anything at all. If this kind of thing is gonna work in the future, it's going to have to be with better and more open communication from Law Enforcement, otherwise it turns into a giant Rorschach test/game of Clue.
