This was a good idea, but I'm not certain it really helped. I mean, /b was completely fixated on the dude with the white hat and the guy with the blue shirt...neither of which turned out to be anything at all. If this kind of thing is gonna work in the future, it's going to have to be with better and more open communication from Law Enforcement, otherwise it turns into a giant Rorschach test/game of Clue.

I hate when people refer to themselves as an army or posse on the internet and seeing what happened (reading Rex's link) with the reddit bs just confirmed that shit. To see now that the kid was missing and could very well have been (and apparently was) dead and they attacked him / his family??

I hate to think of what would have happened to every driver of a white van in the DC area 11yrs ago with these people.

That's pretty wild if they drove him to killing himself. I'd like to know some more details about that chain of events. I could see going into hiding for a day in his situation, but jeez. :|

That's my only beef with reddit. The people that think they are detectives/police/judge/jury need to stop. They are constantly blaming people and writing up pages and pages up "proof" only to be wrong.

He was last seen a full month before the bombing, so I wouldnt conclude that his death or disappearance had anything to do with the bombings, whether it be suicide or mob justice.
Seems like just a real unhappy coincidence to me.
