Glad you got the vibration ironed out. How often do you hang out on bimmerforums? I'd check the classified's and regional sections for parts cars and see if you can get a whole rack and pump for a good buy. If you find something up here let me know and I can go get it for you.
Hubs are surprisingly easy if you have the big-ass socket, and DJ has one you could probably borrow. I used one of DJs used bearings to save money, which you may or may not want to do, but maybe if you can find someone doing a full part out you could get a couple good ones for cheap. The suspension stuff isn't awful if you replace the whole control arm, otherwise i think you need a press to get the old bearings out. The end links and tie-rods are fairly straight forward.
I cleaned my 170k mile ICV and it made a huge difference. I was never particularly good at running down vacuum leaks though, luckily my car still pulls a vacuum. you've done the index card trick to make sure that's the problem right?
