And at that cheap I don't know that they could make the car particularly light. I can't see GM developing a bespoke platform for this car, so they'd have to share the platform with something much heavier. Kind of the same situation the 1 series is in.
less hp and more ugly (and almost certainly more heavy) than a BRZ / FT96 for the same amount of money? doesnt make much sense to me, but at least GM is thinking in the right direction.
for that car to work it would have to be in the 18k range, to compete with the veloster other fwd based sporty cars. that also would seem to fit with the camaro much better too.
