My 18 volt made 9 years before the battery finally stopped charging about 6 months ago. I haven't priced out a battery yet, don't really use it like I used to. So pricey, but I feel like a good value in the end. But yeah, prolly not worth it for occasional use though.
Good to know on the Blue Point. There is no middle ground with Blue Point, it's either amazing or junk.
