I see what you're saying but they were mighty specific about the dimensions... and they were quite close to the "final" specs 4 years ago. You're right in that it takes some time to come to Market, but normally we don't really get wind of this stuff until like 2 years in. I bet MM could knock together a "concept car" in less than a year.

Well, yeah. Doesn't mean I'm wrong. Colin Chapman could have done this in his sleep. All I'm saying is that there's no excuse for it, number one, and number 2, I think they missed the small window they had. Maybe I'm wrong. Hell, I *hope* I'm wrong. But let's face it, the freakin' original AE86 didn't even sell all that well. This will be a huge flopperdoodle for Toyota and then they'll cut it and be all 'We don't make sports cars because nobody buys 'em.'
