My buddy fell off an ATV wearing jeans, riding on pavement at 37mph coming back from a ride. That's halfway through first gear for me. 37mph. His jeans disintegrated, leaving him with roadrash all over the ass. I went out that day and got the Fieldsheer pants I have. Haven't looked back. I've seen some jeans that have kevlar linings in the ass and knees, they might fare better, but I'm skeptical.
