An E36 M3 is absolutely a "momentum car" compared to something like a Viper or a C6 Z06. Typical measurement is how much time you spend per lap with the right foot pinned to the floor. Which, I assure you, is done plenty in just about any decently set up E36 M3. Feathering the throttle? Not in the vocabulary, if you want to go fast anyway.
Plus, there's no such thing as a "momentum car" really, it's an instructor buzzword for students with Miatas and whatnot, used to make the driver think about carrying as much speed into and out of a corner as possible. By definition ALL track cars are momentum cars.
okay sure, technically every car is a "momentum car" but saying that an E36 M3 is a momentum car to a Miata driver is like saying "ow, I stubbed my toe so it hurts to walk" to a parapalegic.
