I'd have to drive the cars back to back to make a determination since they're very close in specs. Not having driven both I'd have to give the IS the nod for RWD.
However the IS does not have a moonroof, leather, or heated stocks included in the stock price so it is really more like a $31000 car to the TSX's $26500. Being an enthusiast I probably wouldn't get that stuff anyway though. And assuming I could afford either car easily money may not necessarily be a factor. I still don't think the IS is $5k better of a car though.
So if money was an issue: TSX
Money no object: IS
