Glad you caught it before it got ugly. I discovered mine when I was checking the timing once and it appeared to be completely random...like no way the car should even be running.
Nah, it's only a couple inches. I've seen Peter North clear the span of a living room.

I have a little bit of a rub near lock but if you are turned to lock on a track there are other problems already...
