Beyond all the partisan debate, my thoughts are basically such, I can't allow Palin to become VP. How anyone with such a lack of experience could possibly rise to such a position is beyond me, and I think many in the GOP realize this.

You can't just discount her because of 'experience'. Abe Lincoln was 'inexperienced' too and he turned out to be a great president. You have to look at what she's done, what she plans to do, and what her policy positions are.

Somehow who put a town of ~6,000 into millions of dollars of debt is unlikely to be a good steward of the federal budget. The fact that she's currently under investigation for an ethics violation indicates that she may not be ethical enough to be in the executive branch. Her views on abstinence only sex education are bass ackwards, as proven in her own household. Her woeful lack of knowledge on foreign policy means she's not going to be much help in that arena to McCain and would be disastrous if she had to assume the role of the president.

I've seen enough there to know I don't want her as VP. There are other women in the GOP that would've been better than her.

What I don't understand about the whole "Obama is gonna raise taxes" thing is how people expect us to pay for all these expensive messes we've gotten ourselves into. Almost a trillion dollars spent on Iraq? Lower taxes. 10 trillion dollar deficit? Lower taxes. $700 billion bank bailout? Lower taxes. Then people wonder why the American dollar is worth less than toilet paper.

Simple, quit doing those things that cost so much money. Then you don't have to raise taxes. I can pay off debt I incurred last year by not incurring more debt this year if my income stays the same.
