i know Andy has installed these, and i think RJ? anyone else here gut their stock struts and install Koni inserts? unfortunately for us subaru people with struts, Koni does not offer a direct replacement and instead only offers an insert.
i'm thinking of ditching my STi struts (but keeping the springs) in favor of gutting my stock struts and installing Koni yellows. i like the idea of an adjustable shock so that road trips are bearable but autocrossing settings can be dialed in within minutes. however, i don't know if i'm up to hacking my struts apart.
did you guys have an easy time with it? is all the hype about koni yellows worth the money? whatever suspension i go with next will likely be the last and i'll stick with it. i want to make sure i'm not getting in over my head or killing my wallet unnecessarily.
