hehe....that's about where I was lifting. I cooked the brakes one time and really thought I was going off so I starting using the tower as a lift point and coasted down to about 110 into the braking zone.

Steve,

You did a great job for your first time on this track (I think you told me it was your first time on any Road Course). It was a blast to ride along and give pointers. This was my first time as a "Ride Along Instructor" (instructed for SCCA 3 years) and while there were some exciting moments, I really enjoyed it.

As for Steve's car coming out of T-10......what a feeling! I know how John Glen felt in Apollo whatever! Steve is not kidding about lifting at the Start/Finish line. If he stayed in it and he had any type of brake failure, we would have skimmed across the gravel at T-1 and would probably go through the tires and wall at the end of the straight. He showed a great deal of maturity in realizing this and lifting when he should.

Great time and great driving. Hopefully more of you folks will come out to more Car Guys events....Great instruction and lots of "Seat Time".

The Mini "S" is an absolute hoot to drive, even in the rain. Joe (my student from Sat.) will get the driving down after a couple more events, then, watchout for Yellow Minis......

Regards,
Alan
