You need to re-read the TX Castle Doctrine. It allows you to use deadly force to protect NEIGHBORS property as well as your own. God Bless Texas.

You don't shoot with 'intent to injure', you shoot with intent to kill. If you ever think you are pointing a gun at someone to 'scare' them or 'slow them down' you risk getting killed yourself. If you pull the trigger, aim somewhere thats going to stop whatever it is for good.
