if the rings were rusted to the walls arent you going to need to bore to oversize and use new pistons

the condition of the cylinders, because of the "years" of sitting and rusting, arent good enough to just ball hone and let'r eat!

an 836 is a big bore kit, but there isnt a need to restore any of these stock motors because a free spinning one is only $300. these motors are being disassembled for the next project... for next summer/fall/winter.
