When it comes to performance-looks-sex-coolness-sound(zomg) vs price, the Z06 wins damn near every competition. Even if the cars are equally fast (and they might be, fuck, I don't know) in every I still think the hand tips toward the Z06 for reliability (Six bolt main bearing caps? Holy fuck!) and that sweet, sweet, V8 pushrod sound.

The other thing that tips the scales towards the Z06 is that I can, you know, *buy* one. I could go to two or three different bowtie dealers right now and pay MSRP for one. (or pretty darn close.) Or hell, I could buy a used one, and save a couple of bucks. And in a few years, maybe the Z06 will be 25k (like an old 405 horse one is now) and I'll actually have a car with carbon fiber fenders and a magnesium roof.

When you can say the same thing about the GT-R, I suppose I'll get excited.

(Of course, if you're talking about performance per dollar, 4 wheels is the wrong way to talk about it, now isn't it?)

aaaand the vette looks 3-4x better to boot.
