So as many of you know the wife and I came up for a few hrs to hang out, after we left we went to dinner in Winchester then headed back down 66 to get home (vs 340->70). So about 20 miles outside of NOVA the wife has to goto the bathroom, there's nowhere out there to stop so we press on. A few minutes later a Red with White Stripes Ford GT starts creeping up behind me. The camera is all the way in the back but I had my cell phone cam so I snap off a few shots. They pretty much look like ass. So he gets up in front of me and I loose him, about 10 minutes later we run up on the RT15 exit, there's a Sheetz so I pull off to let the wife go. As I pull into sheets I see the GT over across the street at the shell station. I pull the wife back in the car and we head over to the shell station. The pump next to him is empty so I pull in. Nobody's at the car. So I fill the truck up and the owner walks over. Turns out he's a really cool guy and lives in Rockville. He says hes on the way back from Roanoke from having lunch w/ friends. I ask him if he's ever taken it to the track, he starts telling me how he's got to lower the seat b/c his head hits the roof w/ a helmet on and how he's taken the BSR accident class at Summit. ORLY!? Then he tells me his buddy is renting Summit Pt in a few months and he's going to take the car! He ended up giving me his card I'll probably try and keep in touch w/ him and find out when he's going to the track.
I've met a few Ford GT owners. Up until now only the ones I've met at the track have actually been cool, this guy was very laid back and a real FORD guy at heart. Drives a F150 daily.
Oh and of course I got my camera out of the back this time
