a star of david, in 3D like you're talking about I think would have two flat sides with small pyramids jutting out of the top, with 4 concave sides. Basically you could imagine pushing a pyramid through another pyramid by the tips - until each tip pushed out of the base of the other. this shape he posted has too many sides I think
