Preventing school shootings

I'm pretty sure that in situations where both people in a conflict have a gun, it's much more likely that someone will end up dead instead of only missing their wallet.

If it a mugging, im pretty sure the perpetrator would be the one who ended up dead. How many thugs and gangstas have formal gun training compared to those with CC permits. Id like to see those stats. Im pretty sure it isnt in the double digit %, considering most muggers dont even know how to hold a gun right.....SINE DAY HOLD DEY GAT LIKE DIS YO.........

Not attacking ya Hunter just my thoughts on that comment, now.........

I have been shooting guns since as long as i can remember. I still shoot guns, between me, my father, and my grandfather we could probably take over a small country with the amount of guns we have, including the Cannon my grandfather built . I will obtain my CC permit just because if i need it its there. I have no problem with lengthening the buying period of guns. I feel the laws are in place, enforcement needs to be bumped up, and dumbasses need to be taught from a young age to respect guns and their capabilities.

Numerous "City Folk" i know are always shocked to find out that i carry a pocket knife and own guns and shoot them. They say that a knife and guns are dangerous, i agree. But im not a dumbass and explain to them if your around them all your life you learn to respect them. I think this whole discussion is between "City Folk" and "Country folk", i fall in the latter. People ask why carry guns and we ask why not, why punish me for their doing. I love to shoot recreationally, and if i like the idea of if i have to defend myself I can group enough bullets at my target to stop them from moving.

The only reason this has come up is because of the tech shootings, it did for columbine. It will never be on anyones political agenda because the NRA owns alot of votes and Politicians want their votes, so in return guns are not on their platform.

I honestly dont know what this has to do with anything i just realized im rambling.
