This is just like Columbine...the killer(s) showed disturbing behavior that suggested something was brewing but no one acted on it. I don't feel sorry for this guy or have any remorse for him, he did kill a lot of people but it could have been avoided if these students alerted someone

Could it really though? What could they have really done? Counseling obviously didn't work, at least not in the short term. What other repercussions are there for writing 'excessively creative' plays? They can't really do anything to him for that. Now the fires and stalking are a different story, but not so much for the writings. On the same page I bet if you went through all the people that wrote plays in the classes he was in for the past five years you could find at least a few other plays that could be considered dangerous literature. HindsightÔÇÖs always 20/20 and foresight doesn't mean much if you don't have definite proof that he was planning something.
