why aren't we allowed to talk about the VT shooting?

The thread turned into something it wasn't intended to be. If people wanted to start a discussion about concealed carry then it can be its own thread. Not to mention that there were several innappropriate comments made.

I made a comment... and you can go fuck yourself. because when i worked on campus i was involved in a confrontation with a fire arm... suprise... i didnt actually have the gun... it was a non student! Pull your thong out of your ass and push the kerosine rag up a little farther.

I am not going to resort to name calling to vent my frustration on the matter. Think about your wording before you post. You imply that you wished this had happened here so that you could've have a part in it. Thats not the mentality that someone in law enforcement should have.

He said that because he wishes he could've done something about it. It sucks when you see a situation that hit close to home that you cannot or couldn't have done something about it. Maybe it didn't come off sounding the way he meant it but nobody in public service wants to see something happen on their block and not have had a chance to do something.

I agree with both. It's hard to not be a little exaggerated with your reactions when things like this happen.

That being said, Kaan's first post in other thread was VERY misleading, and seemed sadistic. I'm sure that's why Nick reacted the way he did, because I was appalled at first, too. Not more than a handful of people that browse this forum could've possibly known that he used to do the law enforcement thing at JMU.
