I've done pretty good at the car buying game. I bought a 1997 SS Camaro with 15k miles on it for $13000 from the dealership, that was 2.5 years ago. I also picked up a 96gsr with leather interior and 14,903 miles for $8,000 and then got 11,500 for it from my insurance company when it had 25000 miles on it.
Before I buy anything, if I do buy something, there will be a good bit of research on what the car is actually worth and then what I'm willing to pay for it.
