i would go with the xterra, trucks are horrible for offroading unless they have a shorter wheel base. The cherokee, try and get in and out of the back of one of those things, im 6'3, my roomate has an older Cherokee, and i basically have to dive in headfirst to get in and out of the back seat. I have always wanted an xterra, and it may be my next vehicle when i get out of college. If i had to choose, xterra or older yota SUV.
