It's not so bizarre or outlandish of a suggestion as you guys are making it out to be.

Your suggestions automatically are subject to increased scrutiny, mr savoir of the busted, rusted, forgotten and never cool to begin with. That should be a bud light commercial.

If I were on *that* kick I'd say something like "Swap a Buick V8 into a TR6!" or something equally retarded.

If I were Thayer, and I had 13 real cash money to spend, I'd buy a POS beater, like a civic hatch or something. I'd graduate college, then buy a truck and a RWD track car. Miata, E30, RX-7, etc. Or I'd buy a 240SX and swap in an SR20DET. (What I should have done ages ago.) Or an RX-7 and something to drive when it's broken.

But I ain't thayer and those ain't my choices. So forgive me for suggesting a 400 horsepower 25mpg six speed coupe with a warranty. But Thayer doesn't like them, so no more GTO talk.
