dont get me wrong, I dont give enough of a shit about what tires anyone buys to continue this argument. Buy whatever you want and pray for no-snow.
ps- Ive heard plenty of first hand stories (and seen plenty of summer tired cars stuck) about using summer tires in the snow (even surprise snowfall). Ask karen next time you see her about the time she got caught in snow on 712s.
