Tire info - mrbaggio - 12-05-2006 I am looking to get new tires for my daily driver WRX. I want to buy them from the local Firestone shop because I have a gift card. I am looking for something with decent grip and LOW price. The guy at the shop suggested these: ZRi Fuzion 205/55R16 W $83.99 Do you guys know anything about this tire. If it does indeed suck point me to another option. Thanks -Justin - Mike - 12-05-2006 what other brands do they carry there? - mrbaggio - 12-05-2006 Bridgestone Firestone Fuzion and Lemans - ScottyB - 12-05-2006 i know some people in MM have or have had fuzions ZRi's and liked them...i might consider them next time around - PDenbigh - 12-05-2006 Justin, I used the Fuzions on my XR for a while. I used them for track time actually, and I was really impressed with them. They wore well, gripped decent (When compared to other street tires) and were cheap. Fuzion is a spinoff of Bridgestone. The ZRi's have "Uni-T" so they grip well as they wear. I would recommend them. Peter - Mike - 12-05-2006 i have bridgestone re750s on the back of the s.... VERY happy with them, but they're probably a bit more expensive than the fuzions. - mrbaggio - 12-05-2006 Thanks for the feedback guys. I think I will go with the Fuzions. It seems they are a good tire for the price. Mike, yep the re750s are a bit more expensive. - Feersty - 12-05-2006 Justin, I know you said you had a giftcard to Firestone, but check out here if you want cheap tires. No Fuzions though. Lowest at $56 per tire. www.edgeracing.com. I had great success with them, and got my Falkens from them. - Mike - 12-05-2006 but... he has a gift certificate to firestone. - Feersty - 12-05-2006 Mike Wrote:but... he has a gift certificate to firestone. :?: mrbaggio Wrote:....I have a gift card. - .RJ - 12-05-2006 A gift card is the same fucking thing, dummy. - Ginger - 12-05-2006
- mrbaggio - 12-05-2006 I believe Mike's point is that even the savings on that site do not make up the difference of the saving with the gift card. Thanks tho. - Feersty - 12-05-2006 mrbaggio Wrote:I believe Mike's point is that even the savings on that site do not make up the difference of the saving with the gift card. True. FWIW I am a customer of theirs now for life, so yeah. - .RJ - 12-05-2006 Feersty Wrote:FWIW I am a customer of theirs now for life, so yeah. After buying one set of tires you are a lifetime customer? You should seriously get off of the "whats cool on honda-tech this month" bandwagon. - BLINGMW - 12-06-2006 Feersty Wrote:True. Happy Ending? - Maengelito - 12-06-2006 CaptainHenreh Wrote:BLINGMW Wrote:Feersty Wrote:True. They destroyed the cheapest online price I could find. For you guys are in need of tires and want one of the brands they carry check em out. I think they have stores all over the country. Unfortunately there was no happy ending. - Sijray21 - 12-06-2006 i'm actually going to look for daily tires for the teg soon, i may consider this if they can work out a mounting balancing deal and/or beat the price online i don't pay attention or read: are they all-season's Bagg? |
