I must have been too, because I liked my 712's (other than snow obviously). So did GRM. Unlike a lot of street tires, they actually get sticky when hot and don't fall apart, and they made a great track/street tire for me.
Personally I agree that Kumho (and Falken) have proven that you do NOT get what you pay for when it comes to tires. IMHO, most of what you pay for is the name, and the names that have been around forever (like Michelin, Bridgestone) charge a whole lot for it.
