First off, there arent that many people making over $100k in NoVa - most of them are in the $40-$80k range. Anyways. *IF* you are making 6-figures then are you going to live as a tennant in a crappy basement apartment eating off the dollar menu for 10+ years just to buy a car?

And if you're make $100,000 the government says you actually make more like $60,000. Good luck with that.

And you're going to insure it? And keep up on the retardedly high cost of ownership - like the $800 oil changes and rudely expensive tires? And what about theft? Enjoy.
When it comes to Ryan Jenkins, the story ends with me putting him in the wall.

Hell, my house in Fairfax is worth considerably more than an Enzo and my parents aren't rich by Fairfax standards. The question is, how did the dude get invited to buy an Enzo?

This is the first time I've ever used the :?:

Definitely the most ignorant post I've ever seen on this board.

Imo you'd have to be making a LOT more than $100,000 to afford an Enzo. More like $400,000.

Being able to buy something and being able to afford it are two completely different things. Stated before, there are some seriously terrible maintenance costs involved in owning one of those vehicles. Which is why you don't see many of those cars on the road, even among the hands of people considered "wealthy" in this area.

It's not an "IMO", it's a straight fact. 1) Ferrari won't sell you one unless you're on their "list", 2) you won't get financed one, and 3) there are other expense in your daily life. All Enzo owners are going to make making multi-millions on a yearly basis.

His name is Walter Kurts...has the Carrera GT...and is a SOB. In no uncertain terms. And you are right, he's a fat old man.

Oh and I saw him driving though campus in his Red 575 about a week and a half ago.

Nothing like the stereotypical asshole exotic driver Tongue Then again maybe he's just cranky cause he gets 10 times as much attention from guys than he does from women.

Way to classify IT types....

And if he was a network engineer there's no way he could afford a Ferrari 308, let alone an Enzo.

what has he really done to be considered such a jerk? I was there when he came out to his Carrera GT and wasn't the friendliest person, but maybe he was busy... either way he obviously has a passion for cars- he even helped that fire dept. buy a new Hummer H1. I doubt he has time to browse our board, but this talk won't exactly make him want to show up at the car show if he does read it. I mean, how exciting is it to see these cars in a place like Harrisonburg? I say more power to him.

He sued my dads best friend who worked for him over a pager bill. Tiny suit, but the legal bills ruined the guy...and the ruining was the purpose.

He threatened to sue my aunt and uncle, his former next door neighbors after HIS kids sneaked into THEIR yard and jumped on THEIR trampline.

Trust my judgement. He's a miserable man with a bunch of money. There are plenty of guys out there with money that are fucking awesome people...take the guy who is currently having his GT3 tuned at MAM (can't think of the name, and it's not CDOC)...but he loves racing and he's as nice and personable as can be.

So, don't give Kurts a second thought.

I don't give a crap what kind of guy he is, get him to the car show and pimp a MM banner in front of that damn enzo!
