I think that's why a lot of people did like her.

I had hoped she would be the nominee so she could stomp Trump's mushroom choade in the debates, well, if Trump would even bother to show up for one - I dont think he will.

I don't think I've ever heard Warren speak... or anyone but Biden and Bernie, for that matter. I guess that's the benefit of reading and not watching.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

So then people forced her to articulate on those plans and how much they might cost. That's about the time her campaign started to fail.. She may have answers nobody wanted to hear.
But but but she actually laid out how she would pay for them and had realistic ways of ACTUALLY paying for them instead of Bernie's "We will grow the economy by $1 Trillion if we just pay for $1.5 Trillion in student loans".

I think that's my point? Bernie hand-waves around trillion dollar programs, and says something about corporations. When you start posting in writing how you'd pay for shit, and programs that would get consolidated away (that people already like), etc, people get a lot more anxious about it. I think Bernie has consolidated the "fuck the system" vote, and that's probably enough to put him on top of Warren, but I don't think it's going to be enough to win the general, and probably not the primary.

I like the core of bernie's ideas, but i think they're all stillborn if he's president. There's not enough substance and he's like the crazy uncle yelling at you from the corner - he might be right, but..
I'd still vote for him but i guess that ship has sailed.

Bernie Sanders with Larry David as his VP. An unbeatable ticket.

Wait wait hold up, you think she yells and is extremely unlikeable... have you seen her in debates and then seen Bernie and Biden? Bernie has been a shouty old man for the last like, 40 years.
I found Warren and Pete to both be well-spoken, articulate, with some plans to make BFDs happen. Moreso Warren on the plans than Pete.
I'd be very curious if Warren's ideals would appeal to more people if she were a man and otherwise presented things exactly the same as she has. She was my #1 pick and I'm sorry to see her drop. I think Biden will get the nomination and that's fine, I'd much rather have him than Bernie and between the two, he's more electable/palatable anyway. I have heard thoughts on Warren or Kamala Harris as the runningmate for Biden and either could be a good combo.

To Jake's point, this is touchy to say so I'll tread lightly. Most women that are direct and strong when they speak get painted as loud and bossy much more than a man in the same situation. Definitely happens to Warren.

I mean I never said Bernie isn't yelling all the time either. Warren didn't appeal to me so I'm not upset she's out.
In my opinion America is not ready to elect a woman president especially against Trump.

Agreed on all this.
I think Warren knows she needs to tread carefully, if she does give Biden her support she will decimate any goodwill she had left with the "progressive" left. So, if she does, i have to imagine her ask would be that she be VP. She's not in a very desirable position right now, damned if she does, damned if she doesn't.

Surprising that Barr would do something this brazen, but then again, Barr is shameless. Flynn would have to have the judge vacate the guilty plea to avoid jail time and the conviction though.
But, I suspect the goal is to then claim it's all a sham and give the president cover to pardon Flynn. And in turn they'd use that rationale to pardon Stone as well.

I'll give @Jake the prognosticator award.
I don't really understand this pick to be honest, but I suppose it must be a fundraising thing? I mean, after George Floyd there was no chance the Dem VP pick was going to be anything but a black female (which I think is great, personally) but in an age where #shitsonfireyo over police brutality and racially prejudiced policing, the DNC has chosen "The Guy Who Set Those Policies Up" and "The Lady Who Locked Up Black Women For Weed, Then Laughed About It".
Not that it changes my vote a bit, but without even the slightest, most miniscule hint of sarcasm or hyperbole, I'm always interested to hear what people have to say.
