I need a new tow pig. Help.

Just looking at this picture seems terrifying to me from a wheel base perspective. The Benz looks way to short to control the trailer if things go bad.

Would this be less terrifying with a Sequoia, Expedition, or Tahoe hooked up?

I'm not buying a GL, that's been decided, but the wheelbase is longer than an Expedition or Tahoe and equivalent to a Sequoia.

When Trevor hauled his 28ft trailer with his Tahoe (had air ride in the rear), it was absolutely terrifying. The trailer pretty much drove the Tahoe. That was with the WDH.

Just get another truck and call it a day. If you can't find a RAM then pick up another F150. Truck's are the best way to tow enclosed trailers. With an open you can get away with SUV's. I'd rather have a smooth sailing tow vs literally constantly adding steering input to correct down a highway... (even with a 1/2 truck and weight distro/sway hitch you can still be correcting a lot on a windy day...)

No it wouldn't. A Suburban, or Expedition EL would be the bare minimum I'd even start to consider for an enclosed (for reference I traded my Expedition EL in for a Tundra while getting ready to purchase my enclosed trailer). For an open trailer, any of the above would be fine.
