To start off, I think we had a great year for the club, and were able to handle certain hiccups very well. That being said, I always think we can do better, and I'm hoping this year can be extremely transformational for MM. Through building partnerships with new people such as xLabs for meetings, club workshops, and member access to otherwise exclusive facilities. To continuing and expanding current partnerships with MAAP to help students learn more about working on their vehicles as well as giving them a chance to enjoy track time in MAAP'S 944 track car for students (a lot of legalities I can't answer for you, and should be directed at Cole as this is in its very earliest stages).

I think this year my biggest concern was that while in the beginning of the year we had a great turnout of new and returning members, throughout the year the number of members who actually came to events was lack luster. I am still trying to figure what can be done to get students more engaged from the beginning, but if you have any ideas on what can be done or what's been done in the past, I'm always open to suggestions.

Also hoping to have more social events that aren't just Motorsports focused. At the end of the day this club forms a great group of friends, and I want to do what I can to foster those relationships. I was thinking of things that other organizations do like cabin retreats, bar crawls for of-age members, and possibly mixers with other organizations. This is all up in the air, but just ideas I've been having.

Like I said, current students or Alum, if you have any ideas or suggestions on how we can improve, please let me know. I want to hear from everyone as I know there is always room to do better, especially with so many different people and interests in one club. Thanks!

I enjoy the theme of this year's election threads where I don't see many grandiose plans that are clearly not feasible. It seems like the way the club has been operating lately is good and I think you've got a good idea of how to keep the status quo and make small improvements where possible (which I personally think should always be the plan. Don't reinvent the wheel)

What I'm curious about is what is your plan to prepare the next officers after you leave? Also, what is your plan for keeping alumni engagement high? It seems that we've been left out of the loop a little more as the group chat has become a more central hub for information which I don't think is organized or accessible for people that aren't 100% involved in the club every day.

We're thinking of creating an incentive based system for coming to meetings as well as using the forums. Similar to point systems other organizations use for members to be able to attend events or take advantage of things like first free AutoX.

The officers for the year after next have also been a worry of mine. The plan will be to find members who are active, responsible, and willing to devote time to the club. Do that early on and hopefully have each of us take one under our wing so they can be independent and lead the club going forward. I'm really hoping they come to us first with interest of being an officer, but only time will tell, and who knows who will join at the beginning of next semester.
