Alternator Issue on a Saab in Northern VA

Hey everybody, my alternator has been the weakest link of my car for awhile. One of my very mechanically inclined friednds offered to help me so I bought a 300$ alt from Olympus. And since I went to Yurrup this summer for study abroad and he is now in FL to see his grandparents and bring back up his Polara, I was wondering if anyone could help or provide equipment to replace the alternator. but I am still very much an automotive lightweight and any one-on-one help or equipment would be a massive help.

10ish. Beer will be cold and I will be passing tools around and trying to diagnose why my stupid M3 keeps blowing fuses and losing the brake lights when I hit the pedal. Wiring, yey.
