i see it and i love to disagree with chris, the souped up camry driver.
he's totally wrong on the rx-7, though.

haha, ok, at a distance, from that angle, yes, my dad would think they're the same car. This would be the judged the "same" too
He wouldn't notice that the front flares on the BRZ are ABOVE the hoodline, while the RX8s are below and the headlight is part of them. He wouldn't notice the 3rd car is a FWD rental piece of shit with hateful 4spd automatic transmission.
I'd say there are more similarities in the (fake?) brake duct openings with integrated driving light, even though that light is completely different. And they both have a plastic splitter that isn't flat. :dunno:
Ok I'll stop. The RX8 looks more like the BRZ than any other car I could think of. Kind of inherent unless they put some friggen kidneys on it
or flatten it out and put a grill on it like a mustang or camaro.

I have nothing of substance to add, but it seems like these help strengthen my argument so I'm including a few.

[quote="BLINGMW"]I very well could have missed something, I haven't read through all the links. But is there any promise that this car, any variant of it, would even be brought to the states? Or is that just a safe assumption that comes from them showing it at US trade shows? :dunno: quote]

it doesnt really fit here as its a big bloated G35 coupe copy, but at least it looks (a little) better now. still way too busy in the front end though
Yeah they're trying to make it more muscular but it's almost a little gawdy to me. Kind of has some GTR elements in the front grill there.
I don't understand why Hyundai calls it a Genesis Coupe. It is a very different car from the Genesis Sedan, why give them the same name? Maybe they did that so they can hide their sales numbers.

I think it looks better, but it can't make it's mind up of it wants to copy Merc or Audi.

In the case of C-Class, G37, and 3-series it's very clear that the coupe and sedan are the same car and appeals to basically the same customer.

I like it - what kind of engine is that car getting now? Will it get the V8 from their high roller sedan?
