Play your music with loud ass speakers. I better they would revise their no headphones policy after a few days of that.

Having spent 20 hours last week on airplanes and in airports, I finally picked up a pair of noise-canceling headphones:

I'm not an audiophile at all, but I'm totally blown away by the clarity and balance. Cheesy, but I really do feel like I'm listening to a lot of my music for the first time. And, the noise-canceling is completely awesome - goodbye iPod ear-buds...

I have the same ones and they are fantastic, I too got them because of the amount of time I spend on airplanes. They are so much better not only for your music but the inflight movies as well. And ear-buds, I have never, ever used them. Terrible sound quality and uncomfortable, outside of the gym they suck.

This style is only marginally better:

I strongly disagree. I dont need my eardrums tickled for good sound. My senn IEMs sound very very good, have great isolation, and I dont feel like I have alien brain probes in my ears.

Fair enough - I should have clarified: most of those glorified buds sound like trash because they have trash drivers. The ones that are nice... are nice Smile

god. I tried to give apple buds a shot today on my commute because it's time to wear a hat and I can't find my shures (which suck). A) they sound worse than dick, b) they don't even stay in my ears. How the f do so many people use them!?

they come with the iPod.
i got mine as a gift and was too cheap to buy anything else.

i got these for my birthday and they cancel the noise somewhat. they're not too bad:

and these:

they're not the greatest but i usually just listen to my music when i'm walking to class so it's not that big of a deal to me.

I've also got those headphones. I don't think they sound horrible, but I don't know too much about headphones. Id rather listen to car speakers anyway.

ahh yeah, a bit more than I was looking to spend. I'm in no way an audiophile so I picked these up at BB (i had a GC)

not bad for $50 - they sound decent, and noise cancelation at work has been a long time coming. I really wanted something wireless, but the cord on these is plenty long.

Evan Wrote:2 pairs of Sennheiser CX300. My first IEMs. very good overall. midrange and highs are amazing. Bass is pretty good for an IEM. Better sounding than all of the more expensive IEMs and most of the much more expensive IEMs that Ive listened to . Overall Im not a huge fan of the IEMs, make my ears itch.

I just use my Zune 80GB premium headphones. Do pretty well overall. Usually don't listen to it that much.

I've got Skull candy's and I really like them. I mean they aren't expensive by any means, but they are really good for what you spend.
