What about leaders of a motorsports club that can't afford... well... motorsports? There are many reasons why people like cars. Wipe the sand out of your cranky asses and accept people that want to join our club. As long as people are friendly, what else could we ask for?

all i'm saying is that people who start posting and aren't all about the motorsports we like don't need to be blasted out of the water. like me, i was a lost ricer and people were cool to me and eventually showed me the light, instead of being like, "hey -- why are modding your maxima, that car sucks you're dumb."
stuff like when Blair got torn up for drifting (legally, no less) in a parking lot, or people giving Lee a hard time because he wanted a fast car for the street instead of for the track and just wanted to talk about it. In fact i remember talking to Lee in class and being like, hey man come back to the forums, people are cool you just have to get to know them...
anyway!
my greivances are that i'm in GA and i can't come up and chill with you guys. i don't even want to think abou the glorious chili cookoff....

That's all fine and good but you have to remember this is attached to JMU, so if someone in the 'club' is out 'street racing' it can give us all a bad name, I don't think you understand just how much work it took to get MM recognized as an actual 'club' b/c of this fact. We are just trying to protect the infant child that was MM.
i'm 100% with you Chad. in fact i whole-heartedly agree that if you aren't into motorsports you should really ask why you're in this club.
all i'm saying is, MM needs to be tolerant with those who are the wash/wax street racer types who join because they're intrigued but don't know a damn thing about motorsports. we gotta have a "nuturing hate" :lol: , be the good shepard you know? anyway, enough for me. i miss posts about Shaun ramping his motorcycle off the porch and Rex's cats.

I can vouch, that not one of the current students is into street racing, we all think it is retarded and needs to go back to hollywood where it came from.

Listen, whatever your feelings are about what this club is supposed to be or not supposed to be, we all understand that it's called Madison Motorsports. That doesn't mean we have to be an elitist group of crotchety assholes. I hadn't driven on track or at an AutoX before I joined the club. I had no car, right before I bought a GSR with reeeeeemz. I'm just saying that even I get annoyed with comments like that. If you want your tiny old man motorsports club, that's fine. I want to be part of an inclusive club that respects people. That respects peoples' financial situations. etc. I'm not saying I want ricers who want to street race. I'm just saying, lay off a bit. Not everyone's an AI hero racer number 007, Mr Bond.
