GREAT day today! The PCA people couldn't have been any nicer... including letting us give rides when they typically don't 'do' ride-alongs. I had a blast, did pretty well with a best time of 63.7 seconds - Dr. Thomas (aka Dr. Fast) was pulling 61's. I still don't think I can drive, but whatever.

My parents both came down from NoVA to drive this one and had a good day. Not the fastest but they had fun and were smooth, which is what counts. I hooned the Crossfire around a fun-run lap and massively understeered through two cones. Still got a 67 sec run Big Grin

Looking forward to the next Verona event on October 4 (with BRR) and of course, PM me if you want teh hi-raz:

you guys all did really well and represented JMU awesomely to the Porsche club. Jake, your car is pretty well balanced for stock spring rates and the Torsion makes it easy to rotate. The intake also makes some nice noises! Dr. Thomas would be insanely deadly with R-comp tires as good as he is with street tires (probably worth 2-3 seconds in his case) and would put him in contention for FTD!

I had a blast as well. Got to try out the new tires and they were much better than the ES100s I had on before. Thanks to Goodspeed and everybody else for the pics. I have a few vids I'm going to upload eventually when I have some free time. I'm really looking forward to the next one coming up soon.

that jag is a riot. seems like autocrosses attract more weird stuff than track days. i love the oddballs.

That Jag had a 454 Chevy under the hood and a madman behind the wheel. I mean, the guy actually looked crazier than a shithouse rat. I loved it.
