Even I might have to watch NASCAR this sunday...

Montoya's finish was not due to driving skill, it was due to an ill handling car. I think he did awesome considering his car was simply not as good as it could have been. He's going to be a great driver in NASCAR, and by the end of the season, I believe he will win at least 1 race, and probably more.

I didn't blame his position on his driving skill, but the car is a big part of the equation. If you don't have the crew to get your car where it needs to be then your gonna run a crappy season.

I know. I wasn't saying that you weren't giving credit where credit was due, I was just stating my opinion, though, I think everyone already knows Montoya is an awesome driver.

Oh yeah I agree, Montoya is an amazing driver. I tend to agree that he will have some high finishes this year, but I don't think he'll reach his true potential in nascar for a couple seasons. Switching from a light open wheel car to a big dodge is quite a change.

I watched most of the race and it sure was entertaining. I was pulling for Mark Martin though, that old cogger, raced for 26 years and no Nextel Cup Championships or Daytona 500 wins. Eff that Crown Royal driver, and the Jack Daniels 07 car on fire crossing over start/finish was unbelievable.

I think martins major problem is that he lost Busch as someone to draft off of because he got tangled up in that wreck right before they went around the corner. I'm pretty sure he would have one had he stayed in the race

I'm pretty sure his problem was is he lost the rear end for a 1/2 second and scrubbed off quite a bit of speed.
