Are these shocks good for a newbie HPDE'r? Koni Yellows for the mr2 aren't rebuildable/revalvable. The KONI North America guy suggested I try these, instead. What are your thoughts? Anyone used these?

Are those like the 8611's but a different length? I think those are pretty serious dampers. Alot of the se-r guys use them with very high spring rates. I think its digressive as well.

yes, that is a cheaper alternative. koni can also do the revalving of used OTS shocks. i'd trust them over a third party...

Send them to Koni... lead time is 6-8 weeks. You dont want more high speed damping, just more low speed.
