Koni 8610 - Andy - 10-20-2006 Are these shocks good for a newbie HPDE'r? Koni Yellows for the mr2 aren't rebuildable/revalvable. The KONI North America guy suggested I try these, instead. What are your thoughts? Anyone used these? - .RJ - 10-20-2006 Go for it, Koni makes a great product. - mpg9999 - 10-20-2006 Are those like the 8611's but a different length? I think those are pretty serious dampers. Alot of the se-r guys use them with very high spring rates. I think its digressive as well. - Andy - 10-20-2006 mpg9999 Wrote:Are those like the 8611's but a different length? I think those are pretty serious dampers. I'm having second thoughts after talking to proparts. I was looking into these shocks because I was working under the impression that OTS Konis for the MR2 couldn't be revalved. Proparts says they can so I'm going to find some used OTS shocks and getting them to revalve it with more high speed dampening. - Mike - 10-21-2006 yes, that is a cheaper alternative. koni can also do the revalving of used OTS shocks. i'd trust them over a third party... - .RJ - 10-21-2006 Send them to Koni... lead time is 6-8 weeks. You dont want more high speed damping, just more low speed. |
