Happens all the time. I've been deleting one or two every couple of days. Just ignore them - they aren't ever "activated", so can't post or do anything other than clutter up the member list.

Ars Technica cleared their forums out a couple of years ago - got rid of all accounts that hadn't been active within the last year or so. I don't see us ever having to worry about it. yeah... we're like... not nearly as big as ars technica... at 200ish users, our database isn't really even a database
