The car was definatly a little easier to drive and faster on a new set, but honestly, once they warmed up, the bald Azenis weren't bad at all. The times I flatspotted them were when I tried to give too much brake before they were warm. Biggest difference was that I couldn't put down power as early, esp in lefthand turns because that corded tire would start to spin. And of course, they were super worrthless early morning when the track was still wet and they were cold.... wheeeee!!!!
It's kind of funny really that at a sanctioned autocross, they won't let you run a tired that's showing cords. I mean, come on. I think it'll last for 4 minutes.
