WTB: Open Trailer
#1
Hello all! uHaul trailers suck and my financial sense sucks even more! I'm looking for a good deal on a decent trailer. Budget is around 2k or less if possible. 18ft or more but not super big. Toolbox and tire rack is a definite plus.

thx.

Is 18ft a hard requirement? A friend of mine has one that may be for sale, but I think it is 16ft.

All depends on how far forward on the deck the car can go. The car is almost 15 feet long.

Holy shit is that how much trailers are now?   I paid a lot less than that for a much nicer brand new one in 2006.

Yeah I checked out what this trailer costs new now and it's like $7000 which seems absurd for a steel open trailer.

Used steel is now 2-3k; don't look up used aluminum.

I sold my used steel full-deck EconoTrailer (18' deck) to Cobetto two years ago for $2k. Paid $2300 for it a few years before that but got a bunch of straps/spares with it then.

yeah I want to upgrade from my open trailer to an enclosed... the price gap between the two isn't that large. the steel used for the main frame of the trailer must be the biggest cost.
