Not New Music, but the other night I caught wind of Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and got a kick out of them. Little big band, little jazz/folk/I don't know, but it worked for me.

Should a guy find himself flying around the universe with a talking trashpanda blowing shitup, he might think about throwing a song like this on his soundtrack.

Big Wild's entire Superdream album is excellent.  I've seen him twice now and it's even better live since he has a live chorus for the backups and a great light show.

So, my mom has been requesting that I play songs and record them for her. I can't memorize songs quick enough to not get bored of playing them before I do, so I just hook up my phone and use a drumless rockband chart for reference. It's incredibly fun to "know" a song instantly by being able to play from a scrolling chart. Anyway, if anyone is interested, I'll be uploading them to my youtube channel so my mom can find them
