apparently you didnt look at the stat sheet. The Redskins did dominate the Cowboys. every.single.category.
Whoever says that a blown call that even old man Madden could point out that resulted in a 45 yd gain, a ball on the 1, and a TD the next play didnt make a difference in a 3pt game either has their head up their ass or is clueless about football.
And to add insult to injury, the refs dont throw a flag when a dallass defender pulls Gardner's shoulder back when he is open in the endzone.
Dont get me wrong, Im no stranger to football and I can deal with the occasional bad call, but when it affects the game this severely it really leaves me with a sour taste.
a day in the life of the skins.....
Gee Evan, they really did dominate. Let's look at their 1st half drives:
PUNT - 3 plays, 8 yards (Brunell 0 for 1)
PUNT - 11 plays, 40 yards (Brunell 0 for 3)
PUNT - 3 plays, 0 yards (Brunell 0 for 3)
PUNT - 3 plays, -11 yards (Brunell 0 for 1, 2 penalties on Washington for -15 yards)
PUNT - 3 plays, -1 yards (Brunell sacked twice for -8 yards)
FG - 15 plays, 91 yards (Brunell 8 for 10, stalled at the 1)
That's 5 drives without anything to show for it, then one drive that came up 4 points short. Pitiful. In my mind, dominating a game means capitalizing on early possessions and putting the other team behind. The 'Skins failed to do that (as they have for most of last several years), and they paid the price.
(Damn. I had to go to a meeting midway through this post, and it looks like most everything I've said has been mentioned... Posted anyway, for posterity I guess)
