I went to beyond twice but wasn't that impressed. I don't know what else to really try. I like the Chinese food at oriental cafe but never had sushi.

I've had everything BUT Beyond. Breakdown:

They're all run by Koreans, so there's that. But in Rex's Esteemed Opinion, here's the breakdown:

Cafe Jako:
The best quality food, the owner clearly takes pride in his work. As a consequence, also the most expensive.

Mr. Satos:
Perfectly acceptable sushi, but nothing to write home about. More reasonably priced though, and easy to get in and out. Online ordering for pickup is awesome, and their seaweed salad is actually some of the best I've had.

Kyoto:
Have had their Dollar Lunch Special sushi more than a few times. My sushi chef was a "kid", but he was really friendly and talked to me about what was fresh and what he was good at. His rolls were a little loose, but tasted fine. It's on par with any other japanese steakhouse sushi.

Oriental Cafe:
Not bad, I guess. Had some salmon there that had gotten pretty fishy, but their "evening specials" are so fuckin' cheap. So. Fuckin'. Cheap.

However, none of these places can hold a candle to any halfway decent sushi joint in Nova. We're so far from the ocean that I'm not sure Hburg will ever have really excellent sushi, but the places here do at least try.
