they're pretty cool and badass....and huge - do you really need a fullsize for hauling just yourself around? big cars seem to be your thing though, so maybe see if you can test drive one?

Yeah - I'm a bigger car kinda guy typically. What kind of got me going down this route was comparing it to the size of the new-gen CTS's. It's a little longer, but actually narrower. They're not as long as my SS, and to be honest, that car doesnt feel "long" to me.
I found a couple for sale in MD area, so I might have to go check one out soon

The STS-V is actually kind of cool, but it really is an old man car. I could see you more in a prior gen CTS-V. The local caddy dealer told me that their current V customers are reporting on average 8-10mpg, so I wouldn't think that is a car you'd want to daily drive.

8-10? I find that hard to believe..that's less than half the epa mpg. Maybe that's people that have their foot in it wide open all the time? Maybe the car is too irresistable to NOT do that?
I used to have a hardon for the prior gen CTS-V, but when the new one came out, that body style just doesnt do it for me anymore

Ditto, I had no idea, but that is pretty cool.
16mpg + massive commute = considering it.

Just FYI...if you want a new CTS-V, the payments are going to be just over $1k a month unless you're putting a chunk of change down...ask me how I know

Yes...big...balls. That's what you need to come from "turbo four or v6 with at least 28mpg combined driving" to "400hp 16mpg V8 sedan".

Heh, I don't doubt it. I'm definitely not looking new though. I've bought 2 brand new cars in my life already, and I decided that shit is for the birds. Both cars, I had this experience where I was sitting in them at like 20k miles, and I was like "WTF did I buy a new car for, this shit is still brand new practically, and I could have bought it for 20% less"

What is the term on that loan? That's almost my MF'n mortgage payment, and I'm trying to find ways to decrease that one... If you can afford that kind of monthly payment today, then you need to buy a cheap, shitty car now and invest the difference - you'll be a rich motherfucker in a few years and could buy yourself a friggin fleet of OldMan-Vs...
I don't know if your interested in the genesis coupe but the new one is gonna be packing a 345 hp, 295 lb v6 or a 2.0l turbo four with 271 hp, 275lb. Not a Hyundai fanboi but those are some pretty impressive numbers.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
I dont think I'd consider one of those - just dont like the looks.
