Okay, i may be paranoid, but i hate how close that stupid cai sits to the ground on my rex. I've read some reviews and it seems like it isnt a bad investment. Has anyone had any experience with it/ is it even worth getting. This past snowstorm my intake was in a giant snow block so it may be fine, and me just worrying but i would hate to see my engine go for something stupid like that

I dont see the point, the small amount of moisture that even has the potential to make it into your car through the cai, isnt enough to do damage, hell it might help (water injection). I had a CAI, on my RS eclipse for like 3yrs, never had a problem, in rain or snow.

Plus that thing is just a filter sock, if your in enough water to hydrolock your engine, that sock won't do shit.

i blew up a motor with my CAI... it might have had more to do with the flash flood and CAI combo. just dont accidently do a river crossing while pulling into a gas station and you'll be fine.

^hahahah well said, yeah i feel like with it being almost "sock" like, if it was deep enough to lock up the engine then it would definately get through it.
