Right... Sounds like a constructive criticism of my financial/project situation.
Regardless, I don't have $8,000...but that does not mean that I haven't discussed backing from my family members. Problem with this car is its a Dodge. . My grandfather is interested in getting a classic, but much more interested in Chrysler and Plymouth. We didn't sell Dodge until 1966. I know Rex is just playing around...I'm sickish and irritable.

I could have been more clear, but I was eating a bowl of cereal, and didn't really have the opportunity to be more verbose. Allow me to rectify my error:
Jeff,
Dear friend, you know I love and respect you and your opinions, but this old fart MOPAR idea you've got in your head is seriously batshit fucking insane. This commentary is related directly to your current financial and time-o-cological situations. You have neither the time, nor the money to even consider finishing the (many, diverse, and extremely cool) projects you have.
Sincerely,
Rex
I mean, seriously. Take a good, long look:
Is it cool? Fuck yes it's cool. Is it a good idea? Not so much. (At least, not right now.) I'm not hating, man. But between the Daytona, the Minivan, you wanting a new laptop and other general expenses, I don't see how it can be done. I guess if you could live in between those massive fins, that'd be one thing. Look, I ain't trying to tell you your business, but I've been where you're at and being in debt up to your eyeballs for "ZOMG Best Idea EVAR!" is not a place I wish anyone.
If this isn't an appropriate conversation to have here, we can take it to IM, but I'm not hating, just trying to help.

I can pretty much tell you from personal experience, as I am in up to my elbows in a 36 year old car right now - that's a lot of work to make right. And by make right - I mean make it NOT a 15 footer. The only way I'd buy somethign like that is if it runs perfect right now, and I could drive it for 10 years on weekends and stuff, and not sink another dime into it until I was good and ready. You don't want to drop 8 grand, then another 15 grand making it right. Also - 8 grand would finish the challenger - or at least get it damn close since the paint is done.

Jeff, you should set aside some money to buy a huge parking lot for all of the ongoing projects you're going to have by age 30
I agree that I wouldn't even tempt myself with another project if I was in your situation. Finish up what you got and save the impulse buys for another year ^_^

As for storage...I already know where I am living when I graduate. Huge house built in 1912 two doors down from the garage. I plan to build a 4-car carriage house behind the main house to contain the many projects. I hope to host a few MM cookouts there. I'll have me some fins...and some FANGS one day...for sure.

Its not loading. If I was gonna go 60's I would go Imperial I think. but thanks for posting it up! A guy on the Forward Look Forums had a 57 Sedan he was selling for $700...needed paint, some body work, and engine stuff. I just don't have a place to stick it right now. Same car in a 2dr...I'd be on my way as we speak.
