My front bumper is going to be repainted, so I figure that since I spend so much time on the highway, I might as well protect it a bit.
Anybody ever do this themselves? I know the general concept of how it's done (and I've done window tint before...easy on flat surfaces, tough in hard spots like the rear window). Is it difficult to get it to fit the contour of the bumper? I'd like to give it a shot, but that stuff isn't cheap, and I'd rather pay to get it done right if I'm gonna mess it up.
I have heard it is very difficult to install yourself without getting airbubbles etc. I am going to do this to the front of my car this summer hopefully.

Def have a professional do it, i looked into it. you cant tell a color difference in the good stuff over time, but the cheaper you pay the more itll turn over time. Atleast on a white car, doubt you would notice anything on a diff colored car.
My problem with these is that you'll always have a line of dirt buildup wherever it stops, so i wouldnt do it unless I could break it on a seam somewhere, including on the sides

How much does that stuff cost? Say I want someone to install it for me on a bumper, hood, and fenders?
